Kenji was walking in the courtyard, he had just gotten his starters. He had a male dedene and a female sandshrew. He was going out to look for some more Pokémon on his team. He was so excited to see what he could catch. With one of his Pokémon knowing nuzzle it would make it easier.

[break]He smiled as his dadene Hampton started pulling at his pant leg. He smiled down at him and then let him scamper up onto his shoulder. He seemed to like it. Kenji was already attached to him while his other Pokémon Ronda was more of a challenge with how careful she seemed.

Kenji and his Pokémon had been walking for a little bit, under a bench spotting two three buneary one he could only see was shorter than the other two. Soon then he turned to his Pokémon before he got too close saying “Ronda you will battle next time Hampton your up first” he said looking at the mouse on his shoulder. Who seemed nervous yet excited.

[break]When he got closer he one of them ran off who seemed quiet timid. The other two stuck around. That’s when he noticed it the smaller one was a baby shiny buneary with pink fur. It was so cute. Yet it was trying to look all serious. But it was failing it just looked so cute with its pink fur. The other buneary seemed angry trying to get the other one to run. But eventually it gave up.

[break]Now the battle would begin as he cupped his hand Hampton, ran into his cupped hand and when he was tossed up not to far from the ground he landed. Scampering off towards the fight. It looked back though as if wondering if it was doing good. That’s when the buneary struck Hampton with a pound attack.

[break]There was not any time for Hampton to dodge, because he hadn’t expected that. Soon though he listened for what to do next. “Now use nuzzle” luckily nuzzle paralyzed anyone that wasn’t immune to electric. Which would make it easier to capture. That’s when he decided to toss the pokeball. Watching to see if it would catch him.

15 more points likely if dice roll is 50 or lower it’s a successful capture if not you can continue the battle and retry you do not lose a pokeball unless over 70 on first dice roll.

Will the pokeball break 23T31wRh1-100 pokeball didn’t break because it was a successful capture

Kenji watched the pokeball shake one, time, two looked like it was about to not capture then, he hear the sound ping. Signaling a successful capture. He smiled happily the other one looked angry but at the same time sad. But it seemed to understand it couldn’t do anything about it. So it quickly fan off to the one that had first ran. Soon they were all gone.

[break]He couldn’t believe it he found a shiny not only that but they had caught it. He didn’t know how long he would keep it on the team but for now it was going to be one of them. He decided to name him Easton. He didn’t know why he just felt like naming it that. Soon he pet Hampton who had scampered over and had rolled the pokeball to Kenji. Kenji smiled “Thanks Hampton” he smiled as he felt so happy and lucky to have these Pokémon with him. “Ok next time it’s your turn unless it’s a grass type or water type Ronda” he said to the sandshrew who had just tripped over a rock. As he giggled helping the small ground type up.

[break]Soon he called out Easton who seemed to already know that was his name. Although it looked upset it lost. “Don’t worry Easton we will all get stronger together” he then let Hampton on his shoulder. Then he picked up the upset Buneary who was protesting at first trying to keep its serious look. But of course failed and gave in. Seeming to secretly like being held. “Let’s keep hunting guys” he said.

Kenji He walked around closer to the entrance of the school than to the school hoping to run into more Pokémon that way. Soon he spotted something with brown fur. It was a lillipup. Although it was cute it was another normal type and he already had his buneary who he thought looked cuter. He set down Easton getting ready to battle it. Sadly the lillipup has noticed him and was already ready and waiting.

[break]Easton the pink buneary decided to watch the battle with his usual attempt to look serious. But of course to Kenji he just looked cute. Now it was Ronda’s turn to battle. She started running ready for battle then tripped. Which seemed to happen a lot to her. For being a Careful Pokemon she was very clumsy.

[break]The lillipup waiter patiently for the sandshrew to come over. “Ok let’s go Ronda use scratch” despite normally being clumsy she was able to get a hit in. The lillipup gave her a terrifying leering look with its eyes, causing her defense to fall. But this gave them a chance for an attack. Next the lillipup used tail whip to lower her defense even more. Next they used another scratch attack. This match was going to be close. Luckily she was one level higher than the lillipup. The lillipup finally used tackles doing some decent damage due to the low defense but due to how high her defense still was she was able to finish it off with a scratch attack.

[break]He then Kenji smiled petting her then returned her to her pokeball for some rest. Then he moved the lillipup to the bush so nothing would happen to it then he started walking back to the school after picking up buneary. With Hampton on his shoulder the whole time.

Kenji was excited although he noticed his tie getting dirty which he didn’t know why he didn’t think about that before he left his dorm. He set Easton down so he could put the tie away. Just as he was about to put it in his bag, something swooped by. Before he knew it the tie was gone he looked to see who the culprit was. He saw a Rufflet that seemed to be laughing.

[break]Kenji was mad and his impulsiveness got the best of him, luckily he had Easton who swiped the pokeball away ready to battle for Kenji instead. Which helped him cam down. “Your right we need to weaken it first thanks for the save” he said to Easton. Easton hit him with a pound attack, then the bird just used a leering look. Of course that did no damage but it was doing it in a taunting way. Which made Kenji angry again this time his pokeball hit the Pokémon.

Kenji was still angry breathing hard when suddenly he heard the ping sound of a successful capture. He blinked surprise he couldn’t believe he did that so recklessly that was good but also bad. He knew he needed to work on that. Even Easton was looking at him as if to say what the heck did you do. “I know I’ll work on that Easton thanks for the help.” Meanwhile Hampton had run over down his arm to get the tie that the bird had dropped. He ran back over to Kenji.

[break]He decided to put it away then called out the Rufflet. He wasn’t sure what to call him. “Well looks like your one of us now my trouble maker.” He said then he looked at him more he was a Rufflet and his feathers made him look fluffy. So he decided to make a combo play on Name to him. “I’ll call you Ruffy” he said as the bird ruffled his feathers liking it which made him look scruffy. Which was another play on to the name. Kenji decided it was the perfect name. Ruffy would fallow him from the sky with Hampton on his back and Easton would be in Kenjis arms. He continued looking for Pokémon.

Kenji was walking back towards the center when he noticed a sick looking Pokémon, but as he got closer he noticed it wasn’t sick it was just a munchlax. The munchlax looked like it was sleeping he smiled and got a berry from the berry bush it was a normal berry not a healing one. They grew along the pathway to the school. Kenji couldn’t belelieve his luck from finding a shiny and now a rare Pokémon only found here and in the cafeteria, at least that’s what his big brother that quit the school told him.

[break]He decided to try something as the munchlax smelled the berry it happily got up. Then it noticed him and ran over wanting food. Even thought it was a wild Pokémon this one was used to seeing people cause it would steal food from them.

[break]Thats when it happened trying to reach out and pet it, the food theif, this munchlax would go rummaging three his bad touching a pokeballs in the process. As he noticed the pokeball roll out he watched the pokeball.

Kenji gave out a small laugh after all the munchlax had just caught itself. He smiled and tossed open the pokeball “Welcome to the team Munchlax, now what to name you” he said as he gave her the berry and she smiled. Taking it and eating it not seeming to care if it was ripe or not. Which it wasn’t as she spat it out. “I know I’ll name you after my mom, so I’ll name you nami” he said smiling at her. To be honest he hadn’t ever met his mom. She had died before he could remember her all he could remember was her smell. That was the only memory he had of her. She always smelled like berries and since this Pokémon of his loved berries it was what he thought was the perfect name for her.

[break]He decided to return her so that she could rest after all she had been napping. Then he turned to Easton who had been watching the event next to him. Then Ruffy and Hampton were flying above him. He smiled his Team was almost full for now. He didn’t really need two normal types so he knew eventually there would be some changes threw out his first year. He was so excited but then he remembered that he could only catch 12 Pokémon his first year. Unless he got permission from the principal.

[break]He decided then and there to be more careful with his choices of who he caught. But still he loved all the ppl he had with him. He now had 5 of them and he would continue to earn more. “Come on guys let’s go find the last members of our team” he smiled.

Welcome to the help dialog for the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin!

Click on any of the tabs above to go through the plugin configuration process!

You can access this menu at any time by clicking on the

icon in the bottom right bar (may not be applicable if you're on Forums.net), or you can disable the welcome window and/or the icon by going to Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator and changing the Show Help option.

This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.

To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing </div> tag. This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific.

If your mini-profile template is already customized and you've hit the variable limit for your template you're free to remove any lines from the code below if they contain information that you don't plan on using. For example, if you have no plans to ever add a user's IP to their mini-profile for staff reference you can remove <div class="mp-info ip">$[user.ip]</div> from the code and everything else will still work just fine.

This is the name you'll be adding to your custom profile field dropdown once you've finished coding the mini-profile. Pretty self-explanatory. Make sure this name is unique from every other name you use for your mini-profiles or you'll end up overwriting the earlier ones in the list.

HTML
This is the HTML that will go inside your mini-profile. You can use just about any HTML tag here so long as it's appropriate for where the mini-profile is showing on the page. Please refrain from using <style> or <script> tags here. You have the next two sections for that! Also, remember that mini-profiles can show multiple times on the same page, so you shouldn't add ID attributes to any of your elements here. Two elements on the same page cannot have the same ID per HTML standards.

CSS
This is where you'll place what would normally go in your forum's style sheet or what would normally be between <style> tags. Try to code your mini-profile's HTML in a way that will allow you to target it specifically with your selectors. For example, you can surround all of the content in your HTML with a <div> element with a class and target that class and its child elements specifically with your CSS. That way you don't accidentally target every mini-profile on the page with CSS that was meant for the one you're building. One more thing: The forum theme's CSS still applies beforehand, so your mini-profile may look right in one theme but not in another. The best way to circumvent this is to define as many styles as you can to override the theme's CSS.

Javascript
Anything that normally goes between <script> tags will go here. This one's a bit tricky since you'll obviously want to target the custom mini-profile specifically. Luckily there's an easy way to do that. In your statements you can use the $(this) variable to target the mini-profile if you're coding using jQuery. Otherwise, if you only plan on using standard Javascript you can target $(this)[0] instead.

Once you've finished building your mini-profiles it's finally time to add them to the Edit Profile page for use! To enable selection of custom mini-profiles you'll first need to add two specific custom profile fields in Members > Custom Profile Fields in your forum's admin area:

Mini-Profile Theme
Staff Mini-Profile Theme

Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles that are designed for member use. You can set the Who Can Edit option for this field to Staff With Power if you only want staff to be able to choose mini-profiles for users. Otherwise, if you want members to freely be able to choose their own mini-profiles you can choose Members and Staff With Power.

Staff Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles designed specifically for staff use. This field is completely optional.

Set the type for both of these fields as Drop Down Selection. Click on the (View/Edit) link to add mini-profile names to each of these fields.

If you've just installed this plugin you should have three different mini-profiles already installed by default: Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3. You can add these to your dropdowns to test them out and see the plugin in action.

If you're having trouble getting this plugin to work despite following the instructions in the previous tabs you may want to check that each of your themes meets the prerequisites below in Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.

First, ensure that opening tag of your mini-profile template includes the $[miniprofile_class] variable in its class. On the default ProBoards theme it should look something like this:

Next, make sure that the default {foreach} loop for custom fields is present inside your mini-profile. It doesn't need to be visible, so you're free to add it inside a hidden element if you don't plan on displaying it or if it would mess up the appearance of your own custom template.

Beyond that you can do whatever you like to the mini-profile template for the most part and it shouldn't negatively impact the plugin.

The following is a list of available variables for use in the HTML section of the mini-profile creator and their definitions. Adding any of these to a mini-profile will generate the content described in its definition in place of the variable so long as the information that variable outputs is visible to you.

To reference your forum's custom profile fields you can use $[user.customfieldname], substituting "customfieldname" with your custom field's name. You'll need to type the name in all lowercase with no spaces and only use characters A-Z and 0-9.

For example, Mini-Profile Theme becomes $[user.miniprofiletheme]. This will output the value of the custom field. In the case of this example, it'll be the name of the mini-profile theme you've chosen in your profile.

IMPORTANT NOTE: These will only work if you followed the steps in the Installation tab of this window on each of your themes. Any themes that do not include the template code specified there will not have these variables replaced in the mini-profile.

$[user]	User's display name link.
$[user.age]	User's age (if visible to you).
$[user.avatar]	User's current avatar.
$[user.badges]	User's list of badges.
$[user.birthday]	User's date of birth (if visible to you).
$[user.color]	Hex color of user's group. If user is not in a group this will return inherit.
$[user.custom_title]	User's custom title.
$[user.email]	User's email (if visible to you).
$[user.gender.image]	Image associated with the gender selected in the user's profile (if available).
$[user.gender.text]	Name of gender selected in the user's profile (if available).
$[user.group.name]	Name of user's current display group.
$[user.group.stars]	Star images associated with user's current display group.
$[user.id]	User's numerical ID.
$[user.instant_messenger]	User's list of instant messengers specified in their profile (if available).
$[user.invisible]	Returns 1 if a user is invisible. More useful for Javascript.
$[user.ip]	User's IP address (if visible to you).
$[user.is_online]	Returns Member is Online if user is currently online.
$[user.is_staff]	Returns 1 if a user is designated as staff. More useful for Javascript.
$[user.last_online]	Timestamp showing when user was last online.
$[user.likes]	Number of likes this user's posts have received.
$[user.location]	Location specified in user's profile.
$[user.name]	User's display name in plain text.
$[user.personal_text]	User's most recent status.
$[user.posts]	User's post count.
$[user.rank.name]	User's current posting rank.
$[user.rank.stars]	Star images associated with user's current posting rank.
$[user.registered_on]	Timestamp showing the date/time the user registered on the forum.
$[user.registered_on_short]	Condensed version of user's registration date.
$[user.social_network]	User's list of social networks specified in their profile (if available).
$[user.username]	Outputs the user's login username in plain text.
$[user.warning.bar]	User's warning bar (if it exists).
$[user.warning.level]	User's current warning level (if visible to you).
$[user.website]	Website specified in user's profile.

You can utilize the $(this) variable in the Javascript component to target the mini-profile <div> element. For example, if you wanted to add a class to the mini-profile you can use:

$(this).addClass('class-name-here');

Profile variables can also be used in the Javascript component in this plugin. In Javascript the value undefined is used to signify that a value doesn't exist for the variable you've specified. With this in mind you can use profile variables in Javascript conditional statements within the plugin similar to how they're used in the actual layout templates section of the admin area.

if(variable) will only run if the variable you specify has a value.
if(!variable) will only run if the variable you specify has no value.

Example 1 (variable has value):

if(user.group){ $(this).find('.group').show(); }

If the user has their group displayed in their profile the above Javascript would make the HTML below visible if you had it hidden with CSS.

Example 2 (variable has no value):

if(!user.gender){ $(this).find('.gender').hide(); }

If the user's gender isn't visible the above Javascript would hide the gender icon generated by the HTML with the "gender" class below.
