Kenji noticed a Pokémon he saw all the time before getting his Pokémon. There were two of them just flopping along. He decided to battle them. They were normal types so he wasn’t going to catch one. The Pokémon he was looking at were two dunsparce.

[break]One of them seemed to be trying to get away from his friend, the other seemed to want to fallow him. Both appeared to be male. He decided to just battle them. He decided to use the two that where flying above him. As he set down his buneary and nestled him in his bag since it had fallen asleep.

[break] “Ok Hampton and Ruffy lets do this” Ruffy let Hampton jump to the ground once they got close to the ground. Both of them were ready. The stronger one that seemed to be trying to get away from the other Dunsparce seemed mad. Mad that it wasn’t being left alone, so soon it shot mud at Ruffy, using mudslap. Which did hit but luckily it wouldn’t make a difference cause of how well Ruffy could see. The weaker one was slower, so Hampton ran up and took this chance to get in close “Quick use nuzzle” he said as she did the Pokémon became paralyzed and might not be able to move. Which surprisingly happened. The Pokémon couldn’t move. While the stronger one looked back to get mad at it that was Ruffys chance to strike. “Ruffy now use peck” which hit the Pokémon hard but it got back up spitting mud again.

[break]Then Hamptons turn came up “Hampton use Tackle” he said as he pointed to the stronger one which did more damage. Finally the other one could move but it used Defense Curl. After that the other dunsparce used mud slap on Hampton but Ruffy took the hit. “Nows our chance finish it you two Hampton use Tackle on the stronger one, Ruffy use peck on the weaker one” soon they had won the battle but Ruffy had taken on a bit of damage so after petting him Kenji returned him to his pokeball. Hampton got on his shoulder and the sleepy bunny stayed asleep in his bag as he put it back on and continued his exploration.

Soon as he had left the dunsparce a girl ran up to him angry she said her name was Roxanne and he had taken out the Pokémon she was going to catch. So now they would have to battle. Kenji didn’t like her attitude but he did need to train his team.

[break]He accepted as the battle begun, she started by sending out a Galarian ponyta. Which luckily didn’t look like it had many battles. “Ok let’s go Nami” he said as he sent out his munchlax. The battle then began. Sadly the ponyta was faster but it only tackle which he handled fine. Luckily munchlax ever rely bulky Pokémon.

[break]”Ok Nami our turn use lick” he said which sadly didn’t do that much damage but did have a chance to paralyze which this time it worked. Which would make it move slower for the rest of the battle.

[break]The girl was so angry using curse words a child should never hear. Since it moved slower now it was their turn again “Nami usr Tackle” he said as the cubby Pokémon tackled the small unicorn Pokémon. Which did a decent amount. Then they used Tackle again on Munchlax.
[break]The ponyta was getting tired though, with the next tackle attack they had won the first match. “Yes good job Nami” he said returning her after petting her just to see what would come out next. Next was a surprise he didn’t expect, it was a Alolan vulpix.

[break]He thought about what to do, he knew Ruffy was out of the question since he was week to ice types. But he didn’t really have anything good against ice types. He thought about it when suddenly he felt a poofy nudge. He looked down seeing pink fluffy fur. And that told him who it was. It was Easton who seemed to be wanting to battle for the second time.

[break]”Ok Easton Your turn” he said smiling at him as Easton nodded hopping onto the battle field. Sadly he knew that his buneary had only one damaging move and a move that did absolutely nothing. Luckily Easton moved first “Easton use pound” as he did the hit actually did some damage showing the vulpix was lower leveled than Easton was.

[break]Sadly the vulpix then took the chance to hit Easton with a close range powder snow attack. Which was freezing by the way. He decided to try something and used splash which of course did nothing, then the vulpix used disable which worked and disabled splash meaning he couldn’t use it for 5 more turns.

[break]However the match didn’t take that long and soon Easton had won the second match. Now she was down to her last Pokémon she said. As she sent out a meowth. Which appeared to be her starter. So since it was a starter he decided to call back Easton how just watched next to him. As he sent out Ronda. He had suddenly changed his mind when he remembered that Ronda had learned a useful move recently.

[break]The battle begun and Ronda used sad attack several times making the other Pokémon miss a lot. Soon the match was over and Kenji and his Pokémon had won he hugged all his Pokémon smiling and laughing with them happy of his first trainer battle victory. After the trainer left he continued on his way.

Soon after his battle was done only about twenty minutes later a guy came running up he had said he saw the battle with the other trainer and wanted to have a fun match like that. So Kenji agreed to battle him.

[break]Collector said his name was rick. Rick sent out his Pokémon first it was a Tangela. Kenji smiles having the perfect Pokémon for this match. He sent out Ruffy, who was also faster. That match did not last long after all Ruffy had the type advantage and seemed to be a higher level.

[break]Next was a Sandshrew, he decided to keep his bird friend in. Since any ground attacks wouldn’t effect him. He used peck a few times taking a few hits of damage but ultimately won the match. He has one the battle single becked.

[break]Soon he left while saying he would like to battle again if they ever met again. Kenji pet his bird then decided to go towards the grass near the benches to rest. He had one Pokémon on each side of him, one Pokémon on each shoulder, and his buneary in his arms. As he continued to walk.

He noticed a pink Pokémon he couldn’t believe his luck again a cleffa sure it wasn’t a shiny but still. He didn’t want to take the time to possibly lose a chance to catch it. While it was distracted he tossed a pokeball watching to see if it would be caught.

Kenji smiles and shouted yes, when the pokeball clicked signaling she was his. His team was complete for now. That didn’t mean if he saw something he liked that he wouldn’t catch it. But he did know that he had to be more picky on what he was going to catch. Which was hard for him. He decided that him and his team should take a little break and just relax. So he called out everyone. Then he layed on the grass his hands behind his head closing his eyes.

[break]Hampton was laying on Kenjis stomach, Ruffy ways laying next to Kenji on the right side of him. Ronda was buried in the ground on the left side of him her back poking up above the ground. Easton was exercising by hoping around and Pixel was copying him in a weird quirky way. Then Nami was walking around a little while had passed and he awoke to the sound of Nami who was running over to them. Either with or away from something. He set Hampton on his cupped hand then sat up letting him on his shoulder while Ruffy got on the other shoulder. As he looked to see what was going on with Nami.

He saw a boy chasing after Nami. When he asked what was going on apparently Nami had stole his lunch. But he admitted it was his fault for leaving his backpack unattended. So they agreed to battle for fun. That way he could let out his anger but also could have some fun. Although he did warn his team wasn’t super strong yet.

[break]The boy named Colby sent out a Klink first which was a steel type. Kenji thought about it he didn’t really have a good answer for steel type. He decided to sent out his newest Pokémon. “Let’s go Pixel “ he said sending out the cleffa. Pixel danced on the battle field ready to start the battle. “Pixel use pound” although Pixel wasn’t listening and ended up using splash. Then the other Pokémon used vice grip. Luckily the next turn pixel listened and used pound. Which did a lot of damage for it being a normal type move. Looked like it was on a lot lower level. In a few turns Pixel had won by putting it to sleep with sing then using pound.

[break]Colby smiled laughing he was having fun despite losing so far. Then he sent out a koffing, which was not a good thing for Pixel since she was a fairy type and their week to poison Pokémon. So he returned her and then sent out Nami who was the bulkiest Pokémon he had, she also had the best attacks for this match. Colby has koffing use Tackle, which was fine it didn’t seem to do much damage although it did hit Nami. “Nami use lick” which paralyzed the poison Pokémon. They continue till Nami managed to win the match.

[break]The last battle was easy when Kenji noticed Colby used a bug type, since he had a flying type Ruffy that match was easy too. The kid gave him some money then left waving goodbye.
